A message from our board chair
Greg Bram
As the oldest human service nonprofit in San Antonio, the community impact Family Service has made is almost too vast to put into words. From our Early Head Start and Head Start program, mental health counseling, marriage strengthening, child abuse prevention /neglect services, and financial empowerment service, to our cornerstone Neighborhood Place, Family Service is making a huge difference in our community. I have been privileged to be a part of the Family Service family for many years beginning with assisting with the golf tournament, to becoming a member of the Board, to being Board Chair.
Being on the Board has given me the opportunity to clearly see what a huge impact Family Service has made in the lives of so many in San Antonio. While services may have been altered during Covid, it is amazing to me that Family Service has not lessened their commitment to this city – they have never slowed down or been made less available to those in need.
Thank you to Mary Garr, her amazing Executive team and ALL of the Family Service employees who make a difference!
