How does it work?

Students are paired with an employer organization for the six to seven-week internship.

1. Professional Development Training

Once accepted into the internship, all students receive one day of professional development training.

2. Job Fair

Family Service partners with employers who interview the summer interns – offering them another opportunity for professional growth.

3. Internship Kicks Off

From the job fair, interns are matched with local organizations. The internship kicks off, and the interns complete a total of 120 hours throughout the summer.

4. Check-Ins

Throughout the internship, Family Service checks in with our interns to see if they have any questions, help resolve any issues or challenges, and, overall, ensure they are getting the most out of their internships as possible.
