Our Parenting Education program provides confidential, non-judgmental support services that assists parents in correcting and improving their parenting skills through weekly parent education classes using hands-on curriculum with a concurrent children’s program, educational groups, follow-up services, and networking activities. In some cases, Parenting Education can help prevent child abuse by strengthening families and assessing problems early on. Child Care Resource & Referral Service
Our Child Care Resource & Referral Service programming utilizes 65-SMART and Consumer Education and Referral Services as a link to information and programs that can assist parents with child care needs. Our consultants can provide parents with direct connections to local child care resources and community agencies, as well as national agencies and information. Choosing the right child care program for a child is one of the most important decisions a parent will ever make. Family, Friends & Neighbors
Family, Friends and Neighbors is a special program for non-licensed child caregivers residing in zip codes 78202 or 78208. Caregivers are encouraged to participate in the free, 6-week program that offers in-home or group training opportunities, with the focus on child literacy through our book reading exchange program. For each completed book, a caregiver will receive another for free!  Our expert training provides information, activities, material and basic help in preparing children for school. Caregivers have an opportunity to learn more about early brain development, social/emotional development, communication skills, health and nutrition as well as environmental safety. Military & Family Program
Our military families matter, Family Service provides in-home therapeutic services to active duty services members, retirees, their family members, National Guard and Gold Star families. To qualify, these families must have children between 0-17 and be experiencing family stress, grief, conflict, PTSD, or other challenges families might face. We offer safe professional counseling with privacy guaranteed. Many of the staff are former military and have an understanding of the issues facing our military families.
