According to information reported to the Department of Data & Evaluation, over 20,000 young children were prepared to master kindergarten when they enter school; over 40,000 parents became more engaged with their children’s education and campus school activities; as well as 6,000 adults improved their knowledge of children’s needs and development milestones because of the services offered through Head Start and supportive services like Parenting, Family Strengthening, Early Childhood Well-being, and Family Engagement. The use of volunteers is linked to an increase in learning as students are learning and parents are involved. We need your support in ensuring that each one of our Head Start students is guaranteed the opportunity to enter into kindergarten without lacking basic language skills needed to learn how to read, write and succeed in school!
